I am thankful for healthy relationships.
Domestic violence is one of the most unreported crimes in the world. While nearly 85% of women are victimized due to physical and emotional abuse, teenagers and children are also targeted in violent relationships. I am very blessed to say that I have never been a victim of any sort of abuse and I thank God that I am lucky enough to have such health relationships. Every 9 seconds, a woman in the United States is being assaulted or beaten and every day about 3 women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends. In addition, Based on reports from 10 countries, between 55 percent and 95 percent of women who had been physically abused by their partners had never contacted non-governmental organizations, shelters, or the police for help. Study shows that about 10 million children witness domestic violence annually and evidently 115 children are abused every hour. Children in homes where violence occurs are physically abused or neglected at. a rate 1500% higher than the national average.
