Day Sixty-Seven;

Day Sixty-Seven; by Alyssa Gonzales
I am thankful for my great-grandmother's words of encouragement.

If there is anyone who has contributed a great influence towards my life, it is my great grandmother. She's always taught me that school was the key to everything and one must have an education to achieve the impossible. I remember running up her stairs to show her my report card every marking period. I remember playing the violin to her on Christmas and her delicious Nesquik chocolate milk. Of course I miss the danish cookies and the egg nog ice cream. I miss first high note on the piano that was silent and the stairs that made a screeching noise when you went upstairs, Most of all I miss her smile when she saw my siblings and I. There is no other person in this world besides my great grandmother who has taught me about life in such a short amount of time.

She is the reason for the big dreams I have.
