So last night I had my interview to become a volunteer EMS and I had the opportunity to meet the gang and explore the rigs. I must say I am very excited for next Wednesday when I meet the rest of the crew and next Sunday when I start classes. I heard a lot of stories yesterday from volunteers and the stories just motivated me even more. One man delivered a baby which means he helped bring life into this world. Another told me about the horrific things he has seen since he started in April. My experience may be bitter sweet but I'm very excited to test my capabilities on the job and hoping I can make a positive impact towards the lives of others.
