Call me optimistic or call me foolish but I think it’s
important to believe that the inevitable is possible. Before every match I tell
my girls four words which I hope boosts their confidence and enables them to achieve
greater than their abilities. “I believe in you!” I embed in their minds that I
know they can do anything in this world whether it is winning a match,
getting an A on their next test or quiz, or amounting to their dreams. They
know I have faith in them and they know I have hope in them and it helps them try
even harder. So again with Dickinson, “Hope is the thing with wings”. This
quote has literally gotten me through this week!
