Day Seventy-Five; Written to you, from me

Day Seventy-Five; Written to you, from me by Alyssa Gonzales
I am thankful for journals.

So these are bits and pieces of old journals that I have compiled in my closet throughout the years. I have journals that date up to seven years ago. I use writing as a stress reliever where I write down my feelings to confess my deepest thoughts. I feel people who speak less always have more to say and I find myself struggling to find the words to say, compared to the natural feeling I have when I write them down. This summer has been an eye-opener for me as I am learning to find peace within myself and I have decided to burn all of my journals as a way of letting go of the past. Journals have helped me get through my toughest struggles and have enabled me to overcome dozens of barriers. While I have learned not to regret the past, I am letting go of it; thus I can focus on the future. So cheers, here's to the memories I've made, the mistakes I will never forget, and the sleepless nights where I confessed my soul on a blank piece of paper.
